Debbie Tebbs, Créations Compulsives’ new ambassador

The Créations Compulsives team is proud to announce a new collaboration with DJ and composer Debbie Tebbs, who has recently been named the new ambassador of the popular jewelry line.

The jewelry, which is made out of recycled CDs and vinyls, has been a hit in Quebec and has received the seal of approval from many artists, including Belle & Bum’s Mélissa Lavergne, Marie-Mai, Orange, Orange, Marie-Luce Béland, Amélie Veille, David Jalbert, just to name a few. The company’s president and eco-designer Mélanie Fortin is thrilled about this new partnership. “Debbie is a woman and artist whom I greatly respect. Her humongous talent, her strength and the way in which she manages to juggle work and family have been a great inspiration for today’s young women. As such a passionate musician and DJ, she simply had to join compulsives’ team!”, she says.

Tebbs, who has been hiding out in her studio for the last few months while preparing her upcoming masterpiece, enthusiastically accepted this new title. “Given the growing popularity of the digital market, a very large amount of CDs and vinyls are being thrown away. Having always supported the preservation of vinyl records, my decision to support a business devoted to giving a new life to these wonderful items was a no-brainer.”

Créations Compulsives’ new 2012 collection will be unveiled this spring and Debbie Tebbs will take over the music during this much-awaited event.

Debbie Tebbs fighting life-threatening bacteria

DJ and composer Debbie Tebbs was rushed to Terrebonne’s Pierre Le Gardeur Hospital on Thursday, June 30, following an ailment. Doctors who treated her determined that Tebbs was suffering from acute pyelonephritis, a severe bacterial infection of the kidneys. The bacteria had also spread to the blood and could have been life-threatening had Tebbs not sought medical attention.

The DJ was undertaking renovations in her new studio in order to complete her next album when she started feeling ill. She received immediate treatment and was discharged some time after. She is currently at home and will be recovering over the next few weeks.

Debbie Tebbs, Misteur Valaire and Bran Van 3000 united through a song

Armed with her pianos and catchy rhythms, the artist has given a whole new twist to Misteur Valaire and Bran Van 3000's summer hit "Ave Mucho". MV's five group members, who have recently returned from a European tour to promote their "Golden Bombay" album, praised Tebbs's work in remixing the song.
